Board of Directors Monthly Meeting Minutes

June 19, 2018 - 7:00 PM

Steve Balch called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

Present:  Kelly Stanton, Mary Anne Sonnenberg, AJ Nick, and Steve Balch were present.   Sherrill Stramara was absent.  Also in attendance:  Renae Foster with TCB Property Management, and 4 homeowners indicated by the sign-in sheet.

Copperfield POA Mission Statement:  Manage the operations of the Association to effectively maintain the community in order to preserve property values and community spirit.

Mary Anne Sonnenberg made a motion to accept the May 2018 Board of Director Meeting minutes as presented.  AJ Nick seconded the motion and the motion was approved unanimously by voice vote.

OLD BUSINESS:

Dead Palm- The hole from the dead Palm that was removed has been filled.

Irrigation System-  Steve Balch reported the irrigation is still not working.  We got a quote from East Coast Irrigation to do an acid wash, but they are not certain that is the issue.

Kelly Stanton made a motion to accept the bid from East Coast Irrigation to acid wash the well.  Mary Anne Sonnenberg seconded the motion, and the motion was passed unanimously by voice vote.

Renae will call to let them know.

Overflow System- Steve Balch or a Kelly Stanton will follow up with Extreme Grounds on this.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chronicles Topics

  • Kelly Stanton reported that it was brought to her attention that you can ride your bicycles on the sidewalk, so that will need to be changed in the next chronicles.
  • Mention that dues can be paid quarterly.

Light for Sign- The sign and pole came to $100.57.  We have $49.43 left to purchase a light.  Steve will look into purchasing a light.

Changing Dues Payments from Quarterly to Annually-   The Board and members present discussed the pros and cons of going to Annual payments.  Renae Foster stated that if we want to change the dues frequency from quarterly to annually, it will need to be voted on by the Board at the next Budget meeting; after proper notice to the members.

Board of Director as ARC Member- Mary Anne Sonnenberg volunteered to serve on the Due Process Committee.  Renae stated that there is nothing in Florida Statutes or the Copperfield Documents preventing Mary Anne from serving.  The Board would appoint any new members who volunteer.

Adjournment: Kelly Stanton made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:29 p.m.  Mary Anne Sonnenberg seconded the motion and the motion was passed unanimously by voice vote.
